Allergic reaction to ANY lip product?

I think I may be allergic to things on my lips.

Everytime I apply lipstick, gloss, lip balm - anything (with the exception of Zovirax or the original blistex) I end up with cold sore like blisters the next day. Vaseline lip balm is specifically horrendous - I ended up with about 7 on my lips which was very attractive Hmm

I've replaced my lipsticks (in case I was cross contaminating myself) so it's not that.

Anyone else have this issue? If so, what can I use on my lips to look glam?

Maybe try posting this in allergies as well.

it may be that you are cross contaminating, yes, so get something new and put on finger first, then apply to lips, rather than touching the pot/tube itself.

if it's in a pot take a bit out with clean cotton wool bud, no point in risking it!

i would steer clear of vaseline type products anyway, try something unscented and a bit more "natural", what about Nuxe lip balm?

You could also try Burts Bees which is a naturally based lip balm, they do them in different colours but are very natural (my ds puts the plum one on and looks ok)! John Lewis sells them
