I have in that region to spend from birthday money, to get a bag. I'm mid 30's,love fashion and would love a new bag. What would you get? Would you go to outlet? Buy it on ebay? Thanks

The problem with 'it' bags is that they can become outdated very quickly. Personally I think Mulberry is overdone and overpriced so would avoid at all costs.

[[http://www.lkbennett.com/dispatcher?search=crocus] LK Bennett] I am in love with this bag at the moment.

MargueritaaPracatan · 16/03/2012 15:16

Mulberry vile???

Ok then! (but I'm head over heals in love with mine so you can see why the ???? !)

sinead300 · 16/03/2012 15:52

What do think of (slightly cheaper) Marc by Marc Jacobs, Michael by Michael kors, dkny....

OK, Mimi Berry doesn't do 'it' bags, but someone on MN recommended her to me when I was looking for a gorgeous leather bag. I love mine so much, and you're not paying for the brand or for hideous shiny hardware.

pocketandsweet · 16/03/2012 17:05

I completely agree with salamanda. I love all those Mimi Berry bags and even if money no object would completely prefer them to any of the more obvious brands. I live near a Mulberry outlet and there are so many of those ones with the gigantic metal hardware around.

warmandwooly · 16/03/2012 18:09

What about this make. I have not had one myself..

Custom made same company as above www.belenechandia.com/becouture/couture_info.aspx

What about V Westwood bags?

MidnightinMoscow · 16/03/2012 18:43

Personally, I think the all time, never go out of style bag is a Balenciagia, but they start from £700.

However, I think the Anya Hindmarch Gracie is beautiful.

sinead300 · 16/03/2012 19:40

Kinda narrowing it down, would you get Michael kors Hamilton tote bag or Chloe mini marcie...... Very different iknow and haven't decided on colour....

Chloe :)

NatureAbhorsAHoover · 17/03/2012 13:10

marguerita - no, not saying the bags were vile, just that some of us thought the giant logo plaques weren't nice. Just my opinion, don't mean to offend Smile. Really love the new Evelina satchel with cute little oak tree logo!

BettyBathroom · 17/03/2012 14:10

I have been looking for a good quality bag without the blinging branding, which is more difficult than it should be - liking the LK Bennett bag - impressed by their apparent lack of branding but the Mimi Berry might just be perfect! Thanks
