Too ugly or just ugly enough? Faraway Ball I can't decide. I need something more robust than ballet flats but am not sure about loafers - to wear with jeans, skinny black trousers etc for mum stuff and also my v casual job.

Be frank with me please - thanks!

I think they may be quite the most hideous shoes I've ever seen... Also, must the shoes be brown?

Methe · 14/03/2012 19:33

I tried some similar ones on the other day and they are incredibly comfortable. I have no idea if they are fashionable though, I don't really understand fashion Confused

charitygirl · 14/03/2012 19:33

I actually like them in the brown only - they look sort of handmade, which bizarrely works.

heidipi · 14/03/2012 19:37

Ooh thanks for the quick replies! And the frankness. They do them in black I think Belle but not sure that would reduce their hideousness in your eyes!

Am pleased to hear about comfort and handmade-lookingness... maybe I need to go and weave myself some footwear from lentils instead.

These look a bit sturdier than standard ballet flats. There's another pair with ankle straps that I think are much more attractive too.

BelleDameSansMerci · 14/03/2012 19:40

I saw them on the Clarks page - they are better in black and the creamy colour. There's just something about them in that brown...

Methe · 14/03/2012 19:41

these were the ones I tried on :)

ChablisLover · 14/03/2012 19:42

I kinda like them

They look comfy.
Blush

I like them - in brown and in the white/cream colour. Definitely worth a try I would say

heidipi · 14/03/2012 21:04

I think the Ecco ones are a bit too neat for me Belle, I like the look of the Luggers though methe, I might try those and the uglies on.

Ta ladies! Smile

Gosh they look comfy.

Eglu · 14/03/2012 21:10

Crikey never have I seen such ugly shoes. All of the pairs linked to are awful.

WellBlowMe · 14/03/2012 21:13

Ooh I really like them. Don't like the ecco ones - too pretty, but the schuh ones are also lovely.

Amaris · 14/03/2012 21:27

I like them from the top - I think the side view doesn't do them justice! I am looking for a similar style (though preferably and unrealistically at half the price!) and it's more difficult than I thought it would be.

Pannacotta · 14/03/2012 21:44

I prefer these

heidipi · 15/03/2012 16:10

Thanks pannacotta, they're good but I've got wide feet and ballet type flats tend to collapse at the sides.

I do love a broad range of opinion though.

Comfy - YES!

No they are frumpy

MorrisZapp · 15/03/2012 16:42

Fab shoes.

Buy them, in brown.

Black shoes - who wears black shoes?

The 80's are over :)

BelleDameSansMerci · 15/03/2012 16:43

Brown and comfy...

sobenobu · 15/03/2012 16:56

Are you a VikingWink?

heidipi · 16/03/2012 15:17

Well I marched into Clarks to buy them but apparently they are too exclusive (ugly) to have in the shop, so have ordered instead and will have to wait and see.

The Clarks Originals they did have in the shop were proper comfy looking (ugly). Hmmm.
