Where can I get a copy of a simple sterling silver earring made?

I bought a pair of very simple tiny silver earrings years ago but have lost one. I used to wear them every day so am gutted! They only cost about £8 brand new and I'd love to get a pair to replace them. Is there anywhere I could send off the original and get a new pair made up? It's basically a sterling silver oblong, about 2mm thick and about 1cm long on a dangly silver earring base. I have searched everywhere trying to find something similar to no avail!

A 'proper' jeweller will be able to make one for you - what area are you in? A jewellery retailer is no good (like the big chains) you need one with a workshop. Try asking around the local independent jewellers if they can make a matching one for you, it should be quite easy to find someone with a workshop who can do it for you no problem.

I used to live nearish this chappie. He made my mum a beautiful charm for her bracelet. Not sure if he is anywhere you but if you are he's worth a phone call I would think.

It shouldn't be expensive - it won't take a skilled jeweller any time at all to make, and the silver won't be very much. If you go and ask and it's more than you want to pay, it's fine to say 'oh that's more than I thought, never mind' - they probably get a dozen enquiries a day that lead to nothing, so never hurts to just ask, they won't mind.

Can you take a good close up pic of the earring you have- I could possibly make you a pair, need to see the earring first though to see if I can find the same or something very similar.
