ds goes through trainers in 2 months. i buy the £12 type in heatons, but it's a false economy i think. where can i get durable trainers at not to big a cost?

how long should a pair of trainers last for everyday wear? ds is 6.

Converse. I buy my lot a pair each every spring for about £21 a pair - and they grow out of them rather than trash them.

I've found the Osaga ones in Brantano stand up quite well to 8yo ds. They are usually around £15-16 and he probably wears out two pairs a year. He has two pairs at the moment, as he really wanted a pair of high tops as well, so he had them on condition that they were not used for bike riding or scooting!
