HELP. WEDDING. HATE SHOPPING. CAN'T CO-ORDINATE

Regular lurker - but have never posted on this board before.

I'm about 5ft 6, size 18 but on way down. Very dark hair and pale skin thanks to Irish grandparents. oh - and I'm 36 years old.

I completely hate shopping due to teenage years of angst when couldn't fit into anything. Took up running and weight watchers and lost 3 stone so far, so can now buy clothese from normal shops (hurrah). However, I still hate shopping and it makes me feel ill - I also don't really do mirrors.

So, I've got two weddings this year - the first one is in June and I've ordered this dress from Boden. It arrived today and it fits well. The problem is I don't know what to put with it - shoes? cardigan? wrap? necklace? Please don't tell me to just go and browse. I am honestly a fairly normal person - I just can't face shop assistants.

I tried to use the Boden "out fit maker" thing - but they haven't loaded this dress onto it yet. If anyone out there is a keen experienced shopper please help!

A cerise cardi or shrug, bit like this should look nice with your colouring and dark hair. Silver shoes like this and a simple sparkly necklace. Might be a bit fussy but I tend to think less is, well... less Smile

It's difficult to tell the colours of Boden outfits from their photos, but would their "cashmere party cardigan" in fuschia work with your dress? www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Knitwear/Cardigans/BR023-FSC/Womens-Sweet-Pea-Cashmere-Party-Cardigan.html?m=3

I also think some silver shoes would be lovely, like these www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_58958+2572462759_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EShoes%7EWomen or these www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_56308+2080621090_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EShoes%7EWomen

A silver beaded necklace would finish it up nicely : www.prettycool.co.uk/silver-effect-chunky-necklace-13847-p.asp

Thanks so much - been dealing with ill child so have just seen your responses!

Didn't have a clue about shoe colour and would never have thought of silver - but they look lovely. Am probably going to order both carries and compare colours.

REALLY stupid question - would you wear tights to a June wedding? - my knowledge of fashion is really that non- existent!

I wouldn't wear tights with open toe shoes (but that's another debate) and hopefully by june you shouldn't need to. Try and get a bit of a (fake) tan going instead!
