I'm confused about BB creams.

Are they a con? Are they simply a thicker tinted moisturiser?
Do you have to have blemishes to use it?

I received an email today from Clinique about their new Age Defense BB cream: it says it can be used under make up as a primer, or instead of foundation.

So what is it really- and how does it fit into my regime of moisturiser, then city block which is a tinted sun screen which I use under foundation?

it's basically tinted moisturiser!

It's a moisturiser with a bit of primer and sunscreen thrown in.

I am testing the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector one at the moment. It seems ok on coverage but a bit too dry for me without added moisturiser.

I'm using the No 7 one at the moment and I'm not that impressed, tbh. It's not moisurising enough to use as a moisturiser and it leaves my skin shiny so I need some kind of powder or my usual mineral foundation on top, so I'm using moisturiser, BB cream and foundation and I don't think my skin looks any better for it. I won't be buying again.
