Is there any such thing as a sports bra that makes your boobs look bigger?

In other words, a padded one? Just wondering cos I wear a fitted top to the gym and there's no way I could go without padding, but assume that even with small boobs I should wear a sports bra (which only seem to flatten boobs down)? So do I need to choose between the health of my boobs (ie sports bra) or looks (ie padding), or is there a compromise??
And before anyone tells me to grow up and get over my self obsessed vain self, there really is no chance!!

Well, I've been searching the net and it seems's there are lots available in America! But not here in the UK. I'm getting lots of results for paddded bras, sports bras, and sports bras with padded straps! But no padded sports bras. How come everything seems to be available in America? Surely there's a big enough need for them here too? Has anyone ever heard of them being available in the UK?

No. Sorry.

why on earth would you want one?????????

seriously... do you really think anyone will be looking at your boobs at the gym??????

Rhubarb · 31/01/2006 21:45

starlover, I see where she's coming from. When you are small-chested, wearing anything that flattens the boobs even more makes you feel like a boy. And women with small boobs are noticed just as much as women with huge boobs, so for us it is an issue. But as I don't do sports, I can't help with a bra. Can you not just get a firm padded one?

Rhubarb · 31/01/2006 21:47

Or! Lightbulb time! Get some pads from another bra (or those cloth breastpads used for bf) and sew them into a sports bra one cup size up from what you usually are!

Thanks for your input Rhubarb

No, starlover, I don't particularly think people will be looking at my boobs but I assume you don't have small boobs, and for me, wearing a padded bra is just like other women colouring their hair, wearing make-up or doing anything else to change their appearance for the better,(I don't need to do any of those things by the way, cos appart from the boobs I'm a complete babe!) and there's no reason why I should feel any less presentable at the gym than anywhere else is there?

i thought of this thread the other day, no idea why..... but, if you're VERY flat-chested, then you may not need an actual sports bra anyway.... you may be able to get away witha regular bra

schnapps · 04/02/2006 20:48

Well, I've got enough for them to bounce, and since I intend to do running, which is high impact, I do apparently need a sports bra - even small ones can sag .

And yes, Cod, of course I care about what I look like (I take it that's what you mean) are you not on a diet for that very same reason?

And I intend to go running during my lunch break, and to save on time I'm going to try wearing my running gear to work and then I only have to get changed after my run.
