Seriously. I have just bought three pairs in Uniqlo.
I can't even begin to tell you just how utterly amazing they are.
Or did you already know? Is this something I should know already?

And what's more! They come up mahoosive so I have gone down two waist inches!

I bought Super Skinny Fit, and two pairs of Skinny Fit Straight in blue and dark grey.

Topshop Baxter. You and your constantly changing fit. You are fired.

Uniqlo is my new best friend.

What size in baxters are you and what size in these?

bigTillyMint · 10/03/2012 18:49

They. Are. Not. Long. Enough. As Usual. Angry

frazzlerock · 10/03/2012 18:55

Ahh, they're too long for me. 33inch leg.
I'm normally a 26 waist 30 inch leg (although normally buy a 32 inch leg) in Baxter.
These I'm a 24 inch waist. And the Skinny Straight legs come up just high enough to cover the love handles but not too high, if that makes sense?

Thanks Smile

I just got some Topshop Kirsten jeans (skinny but high-waisted) and think they are fabulous - no more bulging muffin top. AND they came in a 30 leg.

I am fairly sure they are old news now though.

frazzlerock · 10/03/2012 22:22

I can't wear those as I have a short body.
Although, worn with a long top....

I'm still a little bit in love with my Uniqlo's.
I just love the way they don't have too much stretch in them so they hold my (relatively) large thighs in one place. This is a rarity.
They all come in a 33" leg but offer free alterations.

I keep hearing good things about Uniqlo stuff. But I am ooop north they have seem to have branches in Kent, or London, London, London and London. And a flagship store in, er, London.

Levantine · 11/03/2012 10:02

Uniqlo jeans are amazing, I live in mine

frazzlerock · 11/03/2012 18:32

I've worn mine all day for the first time. They haven't ridden down or lost their shape. ->>> Shock

UntamedShrew · 11/03/2012 18:35

Do you think they'd be high enough to sit above (ie not rub right against) a c- section scar? Topshop Baxters & Seven jeans are all too low rise and ouchy Sad

frazzlerock · 11/03/2012 18:47

Oh definitely. Mine sit about 3" above mine

OP posts:
frazzlerock · 11/03/2012 18:52

Not the super skinnies though. They're very low rise.

UntamedShrew · 11/03/2012 19:13

Thank you! Smile

TerraNotSoFirma · 11/03/2012 22:12

Do uniqlo only do small sizes though?

drywhiteplease · 11/03/2012 23:03

swivelling agree, I'm up north too,v frustrating! Stock up on annual trip down.....

ThatVikRinA22 · 11/03/2012 23:24

marking a place.....but you sound tiny....would they work for a heffer or are these jeans strictly for skinny minnies?

i am between a 12 and a 14 but i do wear super skinnys (all the running had done my legs the power of good!) and i have long legs/short body.....

would they work on me?

frazzlerock · 12/03/2012 14:55

If you are between a 12 and 14 Vicar, then I'd say you could get away with 28"/29" waist (based on your usual 30/32"?). Legs are all 33" long.
They're definitely worth a try.

OP posts:
bomsback · 12/03/2012 14:58

Did you say free length alterations????!!!!

Levantine · 12/03/2012 15:37

I'm a 14 and they are fine on me - the ones I've got say 14 in them though so I don't know how they'd translate into the new sizes

NomDePrune · 12/03/2012 15:53

What is the back like? I can't see it online. Do they have normal pockets?
And is the biggest size really 28"? Hmm

TerraNotSoFirma · 12/03/2012 15:59

That's what I'm wondering NomDePlume, I'm a 14 and dammit I want some uniqlo jeans.

frazzlerock · 12/03/2012 16:16

I also think it's odd the sizes don't seem to go up much past a 30". Like I said, they do come up big but considering the average UK size is about a 16 (?) that's pretty shit really.

The back pockets are a good size and sit fairly low on the butt so they make it look quite neat. I find smaller pockets higher up are deeply unflattering.

I personally struggle finding jeans which fit round my waist and my thighs. (Thighs are too big for my waist). I also hate jeans with too much stretch as I don't feel like they're holding everything in place and often work their way down over the course of a day. These do just the job for me and stay put!

Terra, if you're a 14 you'd get away with a 30 (12?) , I'm sure of it.

OP posts:
frazzlerock · 12/03/2012 16:18

These go up to a 32 if that's any help?

OP posts:
NomDePrune · 12/03/2012 16:21

I'm sure they are nice but I think it's weird that before ordering online you can't see the back, or a model in them. Prices are good though.

SilkStalkings · 12/03/2012 18:45

I've been so impressed with New Look High waisted skinny jeans that I've bought a 2nd pair! They hold in the old muffin top and are generously sized, making my 12/14 hips fit into a size 12 pair. And only £19.99.
