I agree re the new SS collection, but a lot of the AW pieces are well priced

BearlyThere · 08/03/2012 22:51

Gah Monsoon is shit tho

OP posts:
MissFoodie · 09/03/2012 10:07

it is, this is def better quality than Accessorize/Monsoon

snowybaby · 09/03/2012 10:32

agree with missfoodie. got 3 bracelets there last month and i love it to death!
definitely lot better that Accessorize.

MissFoodie · 09/03/2012 10:41

which bracelets did you get?

snowybaby · 09/03/2012 11:10

this , this and this in gold.
eyeing for renegade bracelet and probably2 or 3 other bracelets.
totally love the idea of layering.
i want them all!!!

MissFoodie · 09/03/2012 11:20

the tribute and copper cupchain go v well together, they look nice with the pyramid wrap in gold too :)
I have the renegade, looks lovely with the pyramid and vintage twist or the bardot in gold, check out this pic:

shop.stelladot.co.uk/style/b2c_en_gb/shop/bracelets/bracelets-all/b173g.html

I have this and the matching earrings - truly lovely, and not at all heavy

noddyholder · 09/03/2012 14:38

I have a lot of that stuff there are several shops selling it near me Quality hit and miss but looks great

MissFoodie · 09/03/2012 14:42

noddy it's not for sale in shops? are you sure it's the same products?

noddyholder · 09/03/2012 14:43

Well I have the big hoops and the necklace too unless it is copied. It is in 2 shops that I know of have never looked at the name though it is unmarked

noddyholder · 09/03/2012 14:45

Does the gold and silver on the hoops have a matt frosty appearance?

MissFoodie · 09/03/2012 14:53

which hoops are you talking about?
all S&D jewellery has a marking and/or a heart tag, it can only be bought online or via sales reps, like myself.

LaurieFairyCake · 09/03/2012 14:58

Is it better than Accessorize or M&S stuff???

By better I mean semi precious stones/gold plated/ real silver/thicker and better quality than the thin metal stuff in Accessorize?

Cos it looks just the same Confused

MissFoodie · 09/03/2012 15:12

yes, but I confirm that some of the new spring stuff is not - I can tell you which pieces are, also there is a link further above to detailed photos (on facebook) I took of stuff, you can see much better than on the website!

Gillybobs · 09/03/2012 19:02

Laurie I buy tonnes of costume jewellery and I thought it was nice enough but way too expensive for the quality. As i said above, the beaded bracelet I saw was on a string thread. Cant remember exact price but think it was more than £30. IMO that is not acceptable.

BearlyThere · 09/03/2012 19:20

noddy - do you mean the hoop neckalce?

OP posts:
BlackCatsAndPurpleDogs · 09/03/2012 20:20

Overpriced! these earrings are £40 and they are not even silver.

£5 for same thing in Asda.

noddyholder · 09/03/2012 20:26

Yes. I have seen some of it I am sure and I have the loopy things. It is not top quality at all but looks beautiful

MissFoodie · 09/03/2012 20:37

blackcats, I agree, those are overpriced, but it's what I've been saying, the new collection is not as good as the last - there are gold plated silver necklaces which are £45, they are not overpriced at all

noddy, it's possible that yours is similar but not S&D, that one is sterling silver with a gold plated silver hoop, it's really nice, I have it. In this photo you can see the heart logo pendant by the fastening: www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=299350923411490&set=a.299349346744981.84826.293139284032654&type=3&theater

butterfingerz · 09/03/2012 22:59

Try Azendi? All their stuff is real silver, semi precious gems at really good prices and unusual designs. They have a gorgeous 'birth flower' range.

lulamoon · 10/03/2012 08:56

Hi miss foodie - hope you don't mind me asking but I would like to get the together forever necklace and the Zaria ring - what is your opinion on their quality? Happy to buy them through your store if you can show me how to do so!

MissFoodie · 10/03/2012 11:16

together forever is really nice, it's sterling silver, very delicate, has an extender on it too, here are some pics I took: www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=299350923411490&set=a.299349346744981.84826.293139284032654&type=3&theater

the zaria ring is really nice too, my issue with it is that it's not silver plated, however, if you don't have an issue with brass then you should be fine; either way, you can always return for free if you don't like it, you'd get free delivery too. It's a nice medium-large sized ring, if you click on the video (to the right of the page) you will see her put it on, so it gives you a better idea of the size, ie whether you'd wear it on your index, middle or fourth finger, here is the link:
shop.stelladot.co.uk/style/b2c_en_gb/design-studio/shop-all/zaria.html?s=ninatcherno&utm_source=email&utm_medium=promo&utm_campaign=0301_UK_MarchDS

MissFoodie · 10/03/2012 11:17

ps I have the together forever and I got an additional silver extender for it as I prefer necklaces that hang low, but I am tall with a long neck/torso so find things come up short on me!

MrsCampbellBlack · 10/03/2012 11:18

I rather like the look of the bahari necklace - MissFoodie - is it nice in the flesh?
