Pigmentation on my face - can you recommend a face-friendly sunblock for daily use?

I've got pigmentation which is worse on my right cheek - and I reckon this is because of the amount of driving I do. I need to get into the habit of protecting against sun damage specifically on this area and would like some kind of cream, sort of like a moisturiser rather than a sun-lotion product, that nevertheless has a really high SPF.

I know you can get foundations which contain SPF but I want something more resilient, without being full-on white gloopy stuff, and which I can wear under my foundation. Ideally it would also be great for backs of hands! [old woman emoticion]

Can anyone recommend a product please? TIA Grin

Sorry no recommendation for sunblock, just a reminder that if you are blocking out the sun you may need a vitamin D supplement.

the best i've found, as in not like a suncream, is john masters organics spf 30, here you go: www.yumetcetera.com/2011/08/5-summer-essentials.html

I've started using ultrasun face spf 30 as reommended by mrs martin.

Seems good so far, goes on like a mousturiser and make up been fine on top. I have oily spot prone skin so waiting to see if it breaks the spots out. But so far so good (only been a few days).

The only problem I have with it is you need to put on for 20 mins before make up. I just don't have time for that and leave 5/10 mins max.

It's supposed to give all day protectio, whereas a lot of suncreams need reapplying every few hours. I hope that I'm not affecting it's efficiency by not waiting the whole 20mins. But I just don't have a spare 20 mins in the morning!

Sunsense is a good range, i have the SPF 50 lotion which goes well under makeup. MAC's Prep + Prime SPF 50 is great, use over moisturiser if you need it, and under foundation.

missfoodie i love the look/idea of the john masters one - looks like it would be really great, and that Yum website seems pretty useful as well. I love MAC Pollyblue - didn't know they did this - will check it out. Mordechai I don't have a spare 20 mins either.... I wonder if that really does make any difference...? Thanks all!

Roche Posay SPF 50 tinted suncream - brilliant stuff and available at Boots, so you get points too.

I use a primer and a foundation with spf in but I don't use them all over my face and only lightly in parts so felt I needed a moisturizer with high spf that I would put all over.

Also, my primer (Avon magx)which I'd be happily using with an spf 20 apparently doesn't have the full spectrum UVA protection. Or something. I find suncream v confusing.

I need high full protection now though as starting to use bha and retinol products to help wrinkles and sun damage and they make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Again apparently. It's all v complex.

Now I'm worried about vitamin D deficiency!
