How many hair styling appliances do you own?

akaemmafrost · 07/03/2012 12:17

Because I've just counted mine and I am a bit Shock

Babyliss Hairdryer
Babyliss ioniceramic 800
Babyliss Big Hair
GHD Hair Straighteners
Remington Hot Air styling brush with numerous attachments
Morphy Richards Hot Air styling brush

I don't remember buying half of them, I certainly don't use most of them. What us the compulsion to buy hair styling appliances whenever I leave the house? Confused

Two. A hairdryer and some old, unused straighteners. No idea what make they are.

tunaday · 07/03/2012 12:21

Ooooh thats quite a collection aka. You could open a museum!LOL Are they any youd recommend out of this lot? Ive got a bottom of the range Babyliss hairdryer and GHD straighteners which Ive had for years and wouldnt do without. I fancied the Babyliss Big Hair. Do you use yours and what would it be like on fine, short/mid length hair?

BeckyBrandonNeeBloomwood · 07/03/2012 12:25

GHD straighteners for straightening or curling
Babyliss waving wand for when I fancy wavy (but not curly) hair
Boots compact travel hairdryer. Cost about £5 and still going strong after 7 years! (Have ditched subsequent larger more expensive hairdryers as this travel one seems to be alot better) Confused

That is all I need in my life, although I have to admit the Babyliss big hair does intrigue me!

akaemmafrost · 07/03/2012 12:27

I have an above the shoulder slightly layered bob and tbh the Big Hair makes it look a bit pouffey. I think it's much more effective on longer hair. The Hairdryer and Straighteners I wouldn't be without though and the Remington hot brush is used before a big night out. The others never see the light of day though hence me not knowing I even had some of them.

None, except my fingers.

We have a small hairdryer for guests, kindly donated by my mother.

inmysparetime · 07/03/2012 12:40

Errm, I have a hairbrush.
I even use it a couple of times a week!
My hair doesn't curl, doesn't straighten, doesn't take colour. I have tried, but now know there is no point, so don't bother.

MrsMangoBiscuit · 07/03/2012 12:45

I have a hairbrush, some straighteners, and a hairdryer that has been commandeered by DD.

Products though, I've lost count. Blush

flipflopflap · 07/03/2012 16:59

GHD's
Babyliss Big Hair
Remington hot air styling brush
Hairdryer
Portable hot brush
Heated Rollers.

That's more than I thought! It does take a lot to tame my hair though, it's a bit of a nightmare.

PropertyNightmare · 07/03/2012 17:36
  1. Babyliss Curling Wand
  2. Babyliss Wave Envy
  3. Hairdryer
  4. Babyliss Root Boost
  5. GHD Straighteners
JiltedJohnsJulie · 07/03/2012 17:41

Hairdryer which I've only just started using again after years of having my hair short. That's it.

SlinkingOutsideInFrocks · 07/03/2012 18:14

A Babyliss Big Hair and that is it. I threw my GHDs out after getting my BBH, as they never did a good job and I was pleased to see the back of them.

I do own a hairdryer, but I never, ever use it.

ggirl · 07/03/2012 18:17

I want some heated rollers , any recommendations?

leothelioness · 07/03/2012 18:21

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 07/03/2012 18:32

Hairdryer
Straighteners
Travel Straighteners
BBH
Babybliss Wand thingy
Heated rollers

CointreauVersial · 07/03/2012 18:37

1 regular hairdryer
1 fold-up travel hairdryer (for travel, obv)
1 Babyliss Big Hair

You people with curling wands/rollers AND straighteners - are you just indecisive, or do you sport a different hairstyle for every day of the week? I bet you have loads of clips and accessories too.

My hair is the same, day in, day out.......Grin

EllenParsons · 07/03/2012 18:43

I only have a hairdrier, which is a John Frieda ionic one which I got for Christmas and is sooo much better than my old fairly standard and crappy one. I don't need straighteners because this hairdrier plus a smoothing serum now gives me lovely straight hair Grin I did have some straighteners but must have put them in a charity bag at some point... they were no good and I hardly ever used them anyway!

ChildofIsis · 07/03/2012 18:45

None.

I don't even have a hair brush, very short, spiky hair.
Wash, dry and gel, it's dry in no time

southeastastra · 07/03/2012 18:45

i have an ionic hairdryer, only just realised i could the 'ionic' bit on and off, not sure what it does tbh :S

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 07/03/2012 18:51

Not everyday, Cointreau, only when I can't be arsed to wash it about twice a week

Meglet · 07/03/2012 22:23

None.

I don't even own a comb.

I have wavy hair and use a decent hairbrush. The DC's have kids hair brushes.

Eliza22 · 08/03/2012 09:38

Until recently, I never used one. Have poker straight hair, fine, but loads of it. With a good cut (it was quite sort) I'd wash and leave to dry.

However, have recently become "high maintenance" having grown the thatch into a bob. So, have started to use one. Bought a smoothing, ionic-style one. No brushes, just "finger" dry. Looks good but...... I HATE having to use it and am contemplating the chop again.
