Have you tried googling the kind of outfit you want and size 24? I've recently done the same for 'a line dress size 20' and loads came up. Ebay is good for plus sizes too, there are a lot of sellers of new clothes which do larger sizes. Good luck!

Well what kind of things do you like wearing, as you'll want something that you feel comfortable in?

Do you like wearing heels?

What kind of colours do you like?

Do you want a dress?

If so, what length?

Sleeves?

Colours?

Budget?

My DM has bought lovely + size clothes from independent specialist retailers. They aren't cheap it for an outfit for three special occasions it might be worth it. [link www.tia-tia.co.uk/]

im looking for a dress ideally 3/4 sleeve or short sleeve and then a bolero or cardigan over it. im not bothered about colour and my budget is about £200. im not a fan or heels but a knee length dress worn with a little kitten heel would be ok i think.

Curvety, Artigiano, Monsoon, Chesca, Navabi, Simply Be....All have larger sizes, depends on your height and budget. Curvety, Artigiano and Chesca all have dresses round the £100 mark and are quite good if you are a bit taller like me 5'9 and size 22. They also use quite classy fabrics. I can't wear Monsoon dresses as they are too short in length and body even though they 'fit' but they would probably be great if you were 5'5 or 6. Simply Be are much more reasonable as are Isme and Marisota.
Good luck

I just found this site that sells plus size clothing. It doesn't sell dresses or clothes that you could wear to a wedding party - but it does have stuff you could wear to lunch or other occasions which are less formal. I think the wrap tops would be great for a brunch or something.

Good luck!

I'm a 22/24 and have just been looking on eBay - it's fab, they're relatively cheap too, I just put in 'ball gown' and the size etc and there are literally 1000s! But you could put in a different spec, just make sure you measure yourself.

I know how you feel about the sudden weight thing, it feels awful but we can always loose it - I hate the idea of buying something in sucha big size and still see myself as a 16! Good lucky and I hope you find something lovely and report back!
