Where do you buy your opaque tights

I'm sick of having to hoist up my tights all the time and wondered if anyone could recommend some black opaque (40 denier) tights for me that stay where they're supposed to be!!

I'm a 30inch leg and size 12.

M and S ones don't need hoiking, and wolfords last forever. Size small would be right for your measurements. I had horrible falling down with Primark but that was a few years ago, maybe they've changed.

Yes Sainsbury's tights are greatest, and the cheapest I've found (surprisingly!).

I had horrible falling down problems with Primark tights a few years back but tried them again this year and have had no problems at all (I'm 5'9"). I would love to own Falke/Wolford tights but they are too £££ for me plus wool makes me itch.

in an opaque tight shop

Falke from TK Maxx

I love Dorothy Perkins. Always on 2 for £8, they're nice and dark and very comfy.

M & S Autograph are excellent but Sainsbury's Tu are the best of the budget ones by far.

ChishAndFips · 09/11/2012 22:20

Came on to say Boots but noticed the OP posted this in March, hopefully she's found some good tights by now!

M and S Autograph, or Falke. Both excellent.

Have just bouhgt a 100 denier pair from John Lewis which seem good, were only £8, and are a nice berry colour - but haven't worn them yet, so can't be sure they'll stay up all day!

polyhymnia · 10/11/2012 10:22

PS, for people who find wool itchy, the Falke ones I have are their 'cotton touch'. Quite expensive but worth it when M and S don't have exactly what I want.
