Help me wise ones! Looking for a dress.....

OK, my first foray into here (although I have lurked and I do have a Zebra scarf ... Smile).
I am looking for a dress. I don't suit trousers or most skirts. I feel at my happiest in a maxi dress I bought last summer on Mull. It is shirred at the top, sleeveless but not strappy and has a lovely long skirt. It is a lovely 'heavy' feel, I know I'm wearing it and it has a fish print on it. The label is ikat but when I google ikat I get the history of that type of printing..... It came in a myriad of colours but I have a green one. It is very 'me'... think ageing slightly squidgy hippy and you have me to a 'T'. I want more of these dresses so I never have to think wjat to wear to work again... slap on dress, add cardi or jacket, throw on scarf, brush hair, leave......

Help me wise ones!

is it those long hippy sorta dresses you're after? Nomads and Gringo are nice colourful brands :)
or have you tried searching 'maxi flowing boho' etc on ebay?

That 2nd anthropologie dress is stunning!!! Really ££££££ though - that is half my rent!

They don't have maxis in yet (well, there are one or two) but I think you might like joe browns.

There are some good hippie style maxis on Nomads too and they are about 80% cheaper than anthropologie (though not as luxurious!Grin)

Sorry for cross post but thought I would add the link Smile

Love this monsoon dress but again a bit pricey.

Thank you everyone! Some lovely dresses. The anthropologie ones were dresses to covet but waaaaaaay out of my budget.

The nomad ones are lovely and pretty much what I have been looking for for years! I have bookmarked the site to have a proper look later when the credit card is to hand.

Joe Browns are gorgeous too...... but I am a size 20. (trying not to be, on a serious mission to be less)
