Can anyone explain these? Are they blushes?

I've been having a whole conversation with mrsmartin about these - I have warm radiance, it's supposed to be an all over face colour, you apply over foundation, then a bit of blusher. But you can use alone as blusher.
They are less pigmented than blushers, but more than the mineral veil.
I have just been into be store and ordered the bare radiance as I wanted something to put all over for a bit of colour.
I used to have clear radiance but gave it away as found it a bit chalky/pale, but depends what foundation you use and what look you like.
Am not sure I would put on nose as they are shimmery.

ps pure radiance is more golden so good as a highlighter

Ah missfoodie - I have taught you well...Grin

Radiance = translucent shimmer with a hint of colour
Veil = translucent colour

Both veils and radiances can be used under and over the foundation (veil will absorb excess shine etc, radiance will highlight).

The blushers have more pigment than both of the above but there are 2 formulas - some are luminous and some are shimmery.

There are also several types of product you can use as a bronzer - the classic warmth, the faux tan, the hint of warmth and the sun protection too. They also do tinted mineral veil etc so there is something for everyone.

They do a product called well rested which is 75% highlighter 25% concealer = their mineral version of touche eclat. Their proper concealer is called bisque.

They also have a new skincare range which is actually pretty good. They do something called overnight transformative treatment - it is like putting make up on to go to sleep but is actually really effective - complexion is clear in the morning, it doesn't come off on the sheets and it means you go to bed looking fantastic!!! Stayed at MIL's this week and she was very jealous indeed!!

That is a rundown of the main powder products (not that anyone asked Blush) - I think I've tried every type of product they do so any other q's I can probably answer them Grin

I am not sure if I am going to keep going with the system. I just don't seem to get a good coverage with the foundation. I know another girl who wears it and she looks amazing all day but by lunch time you can't tell that I am actually wearing anything.

I must go back to my orange lady and apply in front of her to see what I am doing wrong.

Thanks for your help.

I prefer well rested to bisque.

Do you have the serum stuff that you use beofre you put on the powder? It's fantastic

gregssausageroll · 04/03/2012 21:10

No, what's that - can you link for me?

I'm guessing hebie means prime time - it is BE's primer. Not my fave but it does the trick. You need primer with all make up. And the more you buff the minerals the better the coverage - you should get through happy birthday twice and see how it looks then add more if you need to. You can use the max coverage concealer brush to get 100% coverage...definately have a play - BE is bloody great when applied properly.

God I love the stuff , could waffle on all day about it , have converted dd to it as well.
Atm I am using rose radiance as an all over blush/colour , put on in the 3 shape iykwim.
Cyb got me onto it , its a lovely natural colour. Gave my warmth to dd as it was too dark on me...she loves it.

I am using light colour foundation atm ..didn't even know i had it , mus have got it in a starter pack. Works really well at reducing redness.

Primer definitely helps the staying power and lots and lots of buffing. I use the full flawless brush .

MissFoodie · 04/03/2012 22:12

I don't prime nor use their brushes, you need to play with it, with a few goes you will find what suits you!
i just ordered tinted m veil and bare radiance :)
just used the fairly light foundation with another bronze/blusher and I look so ill.....cant wait for my goodies to arrive!

ps i also water misted before doing eye make up and love the dewy effect

MissFoodie · 04/03/2012 22:13

and greggs who is orange lady??? should you be asking her for foundation advice???

;)

gregssausageroll · 04/03/2012 22:31

I know!!!!!!!!!! I refuse to have my make up done by someone who doesn't look like I want to look myself, just out of principle......talk about the Katie Price Make Up Application Technique

Hebiegebies · 04/03/2012 23:11

Prime Time, thank you! That's it

wickedfairy · 05/03/2012 10:11

Miss Foodie - I used to think the same re counter girls, until recently.

I bought the BE starter kit and the counter girl wanted to show me how to use it. She was radioactive orange (seriously) and I must have looked a tad horrified! She said not to worry - she loved her make-up looking fake and used really dark stuff, caked on, on purpose. She said she would do me naturally if that was what I preferred, so I let her.

Fab job - she did my make-up naturally and she was SO nice and not scary!! I felt bad for pre-judging her!! I bought the kit and it's a shame that I was visiting family at the time, because if it had been in my home town, I would go out of my way to back and buy more from her. She really made me feel welcome and was glad to help me.

So, maybe you should give it a go one time? They aren't all bad!
