What can I do with my post pregnancy hair?

My hair was great and glossy looking before and during pregnancy, now it is all falling out and I have short 'bits' of hair growing around the front of my forehead (looks like some sort of bizarre very short fringe!)
Should I get it cut shorter? It is currently shoulder blade length, the last time I had it short I regretted it as suddenly every one else had lovely long swishy hair! Would love to keep it long and hope it grows but it looks so limp and lifeless, and having a 7 month old DS I don't get to 'do' my hair everyday. Please inspire me as I don't feel very stylish :(

No help, but lots of sympathy. I too have that crappy short hair at the front. Marking my place for advice.

I also have the wispy bits of hair at the front (DD2 is 8 months old now). My hairdresser recommended Kerastase Bain Age Recharge shampoo and told me to put some hairspray on a comb and flatten down the wispy hair. And hope it grows quickly!

Aveda have just started doing a new range of products which stimulate hair growth called Invati. I have heard and read good things.
