Need help finding a leotard (that probably doesn't exist) for a teenager with "specific" requirements

It needs to be black (she is size 6/8 or age 14/15)
Straps & a highish back so she can wear a bra underneath
Shorts (ideally) or low cut legs

I have been googling for hours

can she not have seperate shorts?

our gymnastics club wear crushed velvet leotards with crushed velvet hotpant style shorts -this seems to be the norm when they go to comps?

KatyMac · 04/03/2012 15:11

Apparently yes if they are short shorts (but cotton not crushed velvet)

that's more requirements

Like this?

But please don't let her buy it in that shiny pink, as that pic is distressingly camel-toe-tastic.

I tried to get it to display in black for that very reason Northey!

Try this website: www.the-zone.co.uk fab for leotards (in all colours) and shorts.

Love the boy cut as it looks perfect but HRH says it is too shiney

Loads of leotards here

www.dancedirect.com

Good luck.

southeastastra · 04/03/2012 15:30

american apparel might have something

HSMM · 04/03/2012 15:31

Capezio do a great clear strap bra which DD says is much more comfortable than the cheaper one I bought her. That might at least solve the problem with the top half of the leotard?

KatyMac · 04/03/2012 18:01

Thanks for all the suggestions

DD is still unconvinced atm, but I might win eventually

I second the Zone. Dd gets her gymnastics stuff from there. There are some shorter style shorts which are much nicer than the classic longer ones.

They wash well.

I got her a cheap one from dance direct & made her buy her own shorts

Thanks for all your help
