Magic Knickers V Spanx

Ok, I know it's been done before, I have searched the archives but have come up with no difinitive answer. Bf's wedding is at the end of the week and although I have lost a bit of weight, it's not enough and I still have several acres of spare flesh around my middle .
I have bought a v nice dress but it is quite slinky and I do need the help and support of industrial undies.
But which ones, I already have a pair of Spanx cycling short ones which are good for a smooth line but not quite tight enough around the tummy iyswim. I also have a pair of Nancy Gantz waist slimmer ones which are good for cinching in the waist but not for the tummy iyswim. So my question to you is are the real magic knickers any more supportive around the tummy area than spanx?

How about this sort of thing? Scroll down to the bottom of the page!

The spanx ones I have are similiar to that but that looks more similiar to the magic knickers thing I was thinking of buying. It's a under-the-bust to the knee affair, I can't remember the actual name of the product.

I had some spanx a few years ago, and didn't find them to be very effective....or maybe it's just that I needed ironclad support!

Why don't you make a trip to your nearest department store and see what they have in the lingerie department? Or you could look at the hosiery section for control top panty hose to see if they offer more help....

I swear by my Spanx! Be sure to purchase the Super Tummy Control for max support. The medium control are not as supportive.

I have used them under my own wedding dress on my wedding day and have worn them under other formal attire, including bridesmaids dresses.

Footless ones are great too in the summertime!

Yes, they do have a maternity collection, but haven't tried them yet.
