What should I wear to a wedding reception in April?

I'd love to find something to wear that I feel comfortable in. I would usually wear a Coast / Ted Baker dress with a little cardigan because I don't like my arms. I'm not sure that I've ever found my posh-dressed-up mojo though.

I'm in my early 30s, size 12, with an okay figure.

Arg, please help ??. I'm happy to spend a bit, maybe £150?
