hair colour question, any experts out there?

I've recently had my bleached highlights covered at a salon. They used a prepigment which turned my hair orange and then a wella koleston permanent hair colour shade 6/7. I liked it initially but think I need to go just a bit lighter. It's got quite a lot of orangey tones, especially under the light and is quite dark. I think a cooler, lighter brown would suit me more. I will be doing further colouring myself as I am in no position at the moment to afford salon prices. I really liked this brand of colour and have already bought a bottle of the developer. If I wanted a lighter, more natural colour has anyone got any idea what shade I should get? I will be buying online so can't see any samples clearly! I will wait until this colour has faded out a bit before redying. I'd be very grateful if anyone can help cos I look a bit ill before make up application at the moment Smile

If you want to go lighter you need to higher with the numbers but 7 is one of the lightest browns. 8 it's light brown dark blonde 9 onwards is blonde.
The orange tones will probably show thought for a while as it will have stained your hair to get colour back in.
Any colour with .3/.4/.5 so on has warmth mixed so stay with the base colour.
What developer have you got?
Are you doing permanent or semi?

Sorry if it doesn't make much sense hard to put it all in writing Smile

it'll be a permanent and i've got a 20% developer. I was looking at a 7/0. Will this be okay do you think?
