Immediate post-birth wardrobe - tell me what to get

After I had DD a few years ago, it took ages for my post pregnancy tummy to deflate and tbh, for me to shift the weight.

I had nothing at all to wear, except for my maternity clothes, which I lived in for a couple of months.

This time round, I'd like to have already bought enough things to make myself look more presentable in the couple of months after the birth! I would imagine that nothing I own will fit me, so please recommend me a post-pregnancy wardrobe, from the ground up, that I can buy now, in advance, bearing in mind that I don't know exactly what shape or size I will be so it will have to be loose-ish fitting. I won't be going anywhere glam, just out and about with the baby and my pre-schooler, so think around the house, visiting friends in their houses, going out for coffees, lunches, the park etc. And I plan on walking everywhere.

Baby is due late April/early May.

I had some huge baggy boyfriend jeans, a couple of smock tops, some longline vests with cardis to go with them and some yoga pants.

Yes,nice yoga pants for around the house, long tunic style tops with leggings..I bought some pretty scarves to disguise the tummy a bit. Dorothy Perkins have got some nice stuff in at the moment.

Mind you, my son is 5 months and I'm only just squeezing into pre-preg clothes

How about just buying a few basic cheap tops in a bigger size and then splurging on nice cardigans, accessories and shoes and things that will still fit once you've lost the weight.
