Maternity dress for a wedding

My brother in law is getting married in May, dh is best man, dd (2) is a flower girl, & I'm doing a reading, so I need a nice dress! I will be 6 months pg by then. Have trawled the obvious websites, but am not overly inspired so far.

So my first question is, what sort of style should I look for? I'm of very petite build (usually size 6-8), and only 5'3", so am keen to avoid anything tent-like.

Colour-wise, my skin is very pale, so light colours not great on me. The bridesmaids will be in royal blue, so need to avoid that too.

Don't mind buying online if I can be sure of the fit, but would probably rather go to a real shop. I live in Surrey, but central London would also be convenient. My bust isn't big (usually 32C, but about a 32D now), and I often find necklines fall too low on me.

Would prefer not to spend too much, but at the same time, this is quite a big family event, and I suppose I can always sell it on later.

Many thanks for any help!

Bumping for you as I will have a wedding to go to at 8 months pregnant!

Have you looked at Tiffany Rose? They have some beautiful dresses, not cheap but they seem to sell for a lot afterwards on Ebay.

Thanks, I did have a look at Tiffany Rose, but didn't really find anything I liked. Perhaps I should look again, maybe I'm being too fussy! It's just difficult to know how the fit will come up, I saw one from there for sale on eBay that mentioned the sizing was 'generous' which worried me a little.

Have you looked here? Failing that I went to a wedding last year at 7 months pg and ended up with a very nice but non maternity jersey stretch dress that fitted very nicely and with nice scarf jewellery etc looked good. The actual maternity dresses just had too much fabric in them I looked swamped.

You could also try Seraphine

Was going to recommend Tiffany Rose as well. Bought my wedding dress there (got married at 7 months pregnant). Arrived promptly, great fit and was able to wear to another wedding a month later.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll take a look at those websites. I actually had another look at Tiffany Rose yesterday and they seem to have some new dresses since I last looked. There's one I like, but their smallest size is 8-10, which ordinarily would be too big. Does anyone know how their sizes come up? Might just have to order it & see.

The ghost crepe dresses stretch. I wore one to my own wedding, when I was nearly 7 months gone.
