Can anyone tell me the truth about BIO-OIL

Ive used it before on my CS scar and it was wonderful.
I bought a small bottle today planning to put a dab on my face at night after cleansing and toning.
It says t can be used on the face.

But there are so many conflicting things on tinternet about whether its ok. Some people saying its amazing, others saying that the purcellin oil in it is mineral oil and just like rubbing petrol on your face .

can anyone please shed some sensible light??

I used it on my body while pregnant in an attempt to fend off stretch marks. For about 3 weeks. My skin was disgusting when I used it and reacted really badly so i wouldn't put it near my face. But if you've used it in the past with no problems it's worth a go?

I swear by it for my face!
