I think I have ruined my new tan boots

I bought these lovely ankle boots from Zara www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-S2012/190052/680004/HIGH%2BHEEL%2BCOWBOY%2BANKLE%2BBOOT two weeks ago. The other day I noticed a couple of marks on them so out came the suede cleaner - now have patches of suede cleaner marks on my boots!! I have tried cleaning both boots and spraying with protector but now ended up with discolured boots . Do I just live with them and convince myself they now just look distressed and discoloured or is there some miracle product that will restore them?!

i just cleaned and protected a pair of tan suede boots and also got stains. they seem to improve with a bit of brushing so i assume over time it will tone down. think i've read something about vinegar though?
