Have recently got a new job in a school (promotion of where I am at the moment) working direct with students pastorally and think the image needs updating from trousers and cardigans to something a bit more youthful, but professional and approachable! Had found some nice printed dresses in Dorothy Perkins but came to try them on after grabbing and goingin in half term and they dont fit, cant find then again on the DP site or designers site... they were by Izabel. Quite liked some other stuff I saw in DP's but cant find it when I got 5 mins to look this afternoon!! Looking for suitable dresses, printed and poss just above the knee to wear with boots/ courts and cardigan/ jacket in new role, but also give image a bit of an overhaul! Am late 20's, feeling like i am fighting the twinpiece lure with a set of funky beads in the hope of looking like of of the 'yoof' - permission for retail surfing, help please!

Have you checked out the dresses in Fat Face - this sort of thing?

Next also have a few print jersey dresses at the moment around the £30 mark, like this.

I wear this sort of thing for school with thick tights and boots (although I'll warn you that the Next one I linked to is lovely on, but lower cut than you'd think, so you might want a little vest, especially if you're working with KS3/4 lads...)

Thanks for the links Ruby, and the tips too!! The role involves moving schools but I've always been amazed by how warm school can be, having to sort out a new wardrobe and image for new school, but very different students to the ones I work with at the moment!!

Have also had some success on the Tesco clothing website tonight and managed to track down one of the dresses that didnt fit when I got round to trying them on! Now I'll get carried away with online shopping, but its better than not having anything or dragging the dc round the shops last week or in a mad dash at Easter before I start!
