Natural alternatives to shower gel

I've been reading about the oil cleansing method with interest and wondered if there was a similar natural way of washing the rest of my body? I have quite dry skin and would like to ditch the soap/shower gel and assorted lotions I use to moisturise. I've had a look on google, but can only find references to Eco-types who just use plain water, or home made soap recipes which use lye, neither of which I'm keen on.

Does anyone use anything else in the shower?

the main thing is to avoid SLS in shower gels, here are some I tried:

I don't do this personally but I don't see why you couldn't use oil in the shower too - perhaps a mix of olive and castor? you could always add in lemon juice or tea tree etc and to make a scrub you just add sugar or salt. You would definately need a wash cloth of some kind but it is definately an option.
