So... if you needed a large, possibly tan, leather bag; what would you get?

I need ideas for a large (large enough to fit in an A4 folder or two plus other detritus) leather shoulder bag, probably tan. Not cross body.

Any suggestions from all ends of the budget spectrum most welcome; this quest seems to have lasted years...

Ok, I'll be honest- I don't love any of them. I don't know what I want, but I'm pretty sure it's not a hobo/slouchy bag. I want it to have some sort of buckle I think. And it must be roomy, but I don't really want a plain shopper.

I had an Owen Barry suede bag Indith and was very disappointed - looked shoddy after 2 months, stitching was loose and it finally fell apart in less than a year - would never buy again - - but maybe I was unlucky - - - -

I think at the moment, my ideal bag would be sort of like this Celine one, but with a longer strap and bigger.

Don't have links but how about Aspinal - either the Barbarella (quite classic) or the London Biker (latter is quite edgy and reminds me of a "Roxanne" and has a buckle)? I know you said no Mulberry but the Mitzy is a great bag, as it doesn't look like a Mulberry at all and it has a buckle. Also Coach or Tod - they do tans as their signature although neither of mine have a buckle but worth checking out.

There you go...none are shoppers and a couple with buckles!
