I would like this dress but cannot afford it....

Any suggestions for a similar dress to this, but not £79?! Colour unimportant, but would prefer jersey if possible, and not polyester.

I'm a size 8, 5 ft. 6.

Find maxis a little difficult to pull off on a daily basis, but do enjoy the comfort of just pulling on a dress.

With jersey I think you get what you pay for.

Wait a couple of weeks and all the high street shops wil bring out their summer stuff and you will find something.

Also the dress you linked to was not a maxi dress.

Its nice but a bit brrr - would you not need a thermal vest under it and a cardigan over it (yes I know I some like my mother!)
