your dd's knickers from? My dd is forever hitching at her knickers,i'm sure she's uncomfortable as well as being annoying to watch.

I have just had a delivery from Boden (and while we're on it, what's wrong with plain white Johnny?) size 4-5, and they're too small.

I have bought knickers from every where, what's happened to the plain white cotton kidney huggers of my childhood?

Please help, before i start sending the child out commando.Grin

I mainly buy them from La Redoute for my 9 and 7yo DDs and for my 12yo: H&M

I think those m&s ones are good and John Lewis do a similar pack, which do come up large..... I quite like the new Sainsburys ones too Grin

Pudden · 13/02/2012 17:54

I bought some of these in the past; they are fantastic and they also come in plain white 'proper pants'

ThePathanKhansWitch · 13/02/2012 17:55

Ooh janitor they look just what i'm looking for. A nice big deep bit of room between leg hole and waist band IYSWIM.

VitC i will have a look at La redoute (didn't think of them tbh).Thankyou.

I got a few things and had a code as well so postage was only about a fiver for me.
Have you any market nearbye? The one near us has an underwear stall on selling big pants and long nighties etc. They also sell proper pants (I bought them for my dd there until she grew out of the age range) so you might find some on there. Nice plain white cotton interlock ones that come up to your belly button ...and beyond

Pudden · 13/02/2012 18:10

small skimpy briefs for children is one of my pet hates along with low rise trousers. I can't find a pair of high wasit jeans or trousers for my (nearly) ten year old for love nor money...

Pudden · 13/02/2012 18:11

high waist

kreecherlivesupstairs · 13/02/2012 18:13

DD gets hers from H+M, she will only wear the ones with legs in, they look like boxers for girls.
Her legs were so skinny the ordinary knickers gaped around the leg holes and exhibited her banjo when she was sitting on the carpet at school.

ThePathanKhansWitch · 13/02/2012 18:14

Our local one has large knickers for women, but none for children. One of my pet hates as well Pudden, in the name of all that's good, who designs the things Angry.

I'm off to Durham Friday and will get a pair for you to try out if you like; they only cost about 90p

ThePathanKhansWitch · 13/02/2012 18:22

Oh Pudden would you? That would be so kind, do you take pay-pal?Smile.

Plain White knickers, what little girl would want plain white knickers.
They should be cute, they should be silly, with teddies, bows and buttons. ( Even if it means they won't tumble dry).
Likewise socks should be as daft as possible too.
Vests on the other-hand need to be white.
A few cute ones are fine, but it is necessary to have some to go under school shirts that don't show.

maydarnaychild · 13/02/2012 18:44

Kreacher we have that too! Fanjo always on show!
Those M&S ones will be fanjo flashers on my DD for sure. I tried everywhere and there was at least 2" too much on the leg holes. Plus the gussets are too skimpy.

I actually really rate Mothercare knickers. Their plain ones are cheapest too. Packed 7 tho which is useless because you need two packs. But they are correctly sized and no fanjo flashing.

ThePathanKhansWitch · 13/02/2012 19:39

Yes but Startail it's all about what i want ease for washing.Smile

apple99 · 13/02/2012 20:43

Dd aged 5 has knickers from Gap and H&M both have good bum coverage and wash well.

BackforGood · 13/02/2012 20:47

Peacocks
Primark
Matalan

Takver · 13/02/2012 21:39

Peacocks have 'girls boxers' which might also hit the spot.

workshy · 13/02/2012 21:45

I get my DDs from ASDA -one has the shorts style, the other just has briefs -never had a problem?
