Is 43 Too Old for a Bikini????

Going to warmer climes this summer and as I've only been holidaying in the UK in recent times I've only ever opted for an all-in-one swim suit.

I would love to wear a bikini but am I too old??

I'm 5'5'' and weigh 9 stone-ish. I've got small boobs and am sort of an angular pear IYSWIM.

I wore one for the first time last year at the age of 51.

I wear one, because no mater how bad I think I look in mine , there is always someone who looks worse than I do in one.

I'm a size 16 and do NOT have a bikini body. However, I still wear one. Why not? I'll wear one if I want, fashion police be damned

I definitely wouldn't wear the 2 handkerchiefs tied together get-ups. I hate spending loads on swimwear but think maybe I need to shop somewhere this year other than primark/matalan/new look.....

So I bought a bikini.........

Size 14 from Primark (I'm sure their sizings are tiny??Aren't they?!?!)

Its a halter top with traditional style knicker type bottoms (I was brave and didn't chicken out into a tankini!)

The verdict is.....actually quite pleased And once I've stopped looking like an enormous milk bottle i.e. very very white, I'll be even more pleased!
