Long shot - rosacea and swimming?

Not sure if anyone can help but I suffer from Rosacea on my face and it's been fairly under control recently until I started up swimming again.

The chlorine is playing holy hell with my face - when I've finished I look like a tomato, with 2 white circles round my eyes where my goggles have been! It takes hours to settle down, and now the lumps and bumps and general redness seem to be here to stay again.

Is there anything I can do? I'm doing the Swimathon in April so really need to train but this is putting me off.

could you try putting some barrier cream on before you get in the water and washing it off thoroughly afterwards?

I thought that, but not sure which barrier cream that wouldn't aggravate my skin as well.

Clinique do a redness solutions range that's supposed to be good. It's for rosacea and persistent redness.

My sister uses the cream and foundation which she says work really well for her, they do other things too. Might be worth going to a counter and asking for some samples.
