It feels like I have brick dust in my hair. Yuk.

ahh boo...thanks for letting us know though :)

The trick with Batiste is short blasts, not too close and brush straight out. I use it every other day.

Shame you've had a bad experience, because it's actually really good.

I find the one for black hair really good but I do prefer the lee stafford and the percy and reed (more expensive though). I'm just wondering if the xxl volume has a different texture though?

Also, my friend is a session stylist (works on ALL of the biggest celebs/photoshoots/catwalk shows) and she recommends spraying your hairbrush with the dry shampoo, rather than straight into the hair. Same with hairspray - spray the brush and brush through to give hold to your style.

I normally use the original one in blush and like it but thought I'd try something more adventurous. Will try the brush thing and see if its better.

What a coincidence, I used it for the first time today and I love it! It does make the hair dry in texture, but my hair is MASSIVE. I backcombed it and added hairspray. Winner.

There is a great tutorial on youtube, showing how to use dry shampoo with great results. Has transformed my experience. Make sure when you have sprayed you rub a little with your fingers then brush through. Shake really well or else you do get loads of powder, make sure not too close to your head

I agree! This is my technique and it's a lifesaver. I love the huge bottles they've started selling now!
