Another foundation thread- this time BOBBI BROWN

I did a huge foundation hunt 6 months back after my Clinique shade was discontinued (I can still buy it 2 shades darker than what I used before and it's JUST ok).

I ended up with Clarins Extra Firming- doesn't firm but quite nice texture and great colour for me in Ivory- am pale.
BUT it is light to medium coverage and 1 application is no more than a tinted moisturiser IMO so it needs building.

I do have good skin- no lines and not dry or oily. But my skin tone is slightly uneven and I have terrible blue under eye circles.

BB offers pale shades which I need. I have had testers for BB moisturising foundation but it seemed very "thin" even though it says you can build the coverage.

Has anyone used this BB or got any ideas which other one to try- I posted about their stick foundation but wonder if it's really thick? I have also tried the luminous one which slid off my face.

amelia they rate their own stuff very highly, and I think that the rest of the stuff is very biased, and inconsistent. IE they don't like OCM because it's 'natural' and they don't like 'teint miracle' because it contains alcohol, but plenty of products do. They mark down whole ranges if they don't have a product for blemished skin for example.

Give me alcohol, in all it's forms, if my face looks as good as it does in the teint Miracle!!

They do see somewhat biased. For instance, the Estée Lauder Double Wear has a really nasty "chemically" smell IMO. I used it for a couple of years. I wouldn't touch it now.

That's true that what suits one woman may not suit another.

I really rate teint Miracle despite having rather sensitive skin - it has never made my skin feel bad. That said I loathed Doublewear - it had the texture of PVA glue and made me look crepey, and went orange.

i use bb's 2 in 1 compact oil free. not quite as good as the superbalanced clinique compact that was discontinued but pretty good. occasionally find it too dry but coverage is pretty good. i tried everything else clinique in between and an estee lauder but nothing was thick enough. i have quite bad scarring from acne and uneven skin tone. bb i can get easily online and if you you re feeling flush and spend over £50 they do free delivery which is great as conters are few and far between! i always use dermalogica eye care cream underneath makeup around eyes as i have really dark circles and pigment it ligtens everything up! expencive but lasts ages!
