Am I too old to go back to black?

I used to love dressing in long black skirts- my main colours were black, red, emerald and deep blue. But mostly black and red.
Since I've had my kids I've drifted more towards the browns, oranges and greens but I feel more comfortable in the 'winter' colours....but will it leave me looking washed out- I'm about 3 sizes bigger and nearly 30. Will I look like I'm trying too hard?

i think its what you wear near your face which is more of an issue. so you could probably wear black skirts and top, but if you had a scarf the correct colour for your complexion it would be fine.

I wear lots of black, but have lots of bright/patterned scarves and you deffo need to make sure your make-up isnt drab. Whats your complexion/hair colour? I'm a pale brunette and make sure I have a bit of fake tan on and some bright lipstick if I'm going to go straight-black.

I'm not sure what the correct colour for my complexion is though....I'm very pale with dark hair and hazel eyes.

When I'm all in black, I tend to do liquid eyeliner and smudgy eye makeup, then dark red lipstick.

(When I dress up that is.....at the moment, I just seem to put on mascara and lipsil) Really need to get some of my self-confidence back and I think this could be a way to do it.

search on here and you will find links to sites that suggest different colours for different complexions. sounds like its unlikely you are spring.
