I really need to do this more regularly but I can't find a really nice one.

Caster sugar and olive oil Grin

It's not an exfoliator per se but I use No7 Radiance Boosting Hot Cloth Cleanser and that comes with a muslin cloth with exfoiliates as you remove the cleanser. I have much nicer and softer skin by doing this gently every day rather than using a specific exfoliating product, most of which I find really rough.

Clinique Exfoliating Scrub (not the crappy 7-Day Scrub, the real deal Exfoliating Scrub). The beads in it are synthetic (none of your ground down apricot kernel shite that scratches your skin) so they are completely spherical - and miraculously clean off all the dead skin without irritating/scratching your skin.

You hardly need to use any, one tube will last you a year.

Olive oil and a rough flannel before bed.

This Neutrogena one does the job as well as more expensive brands I've tried.

Alpha H liquid gold. It's a chemical exfoliant rather than something with bits in. And it's bloody brilliant.

Elemis papaya enzyle peel - It is just a cream and washes off with hot water after 8 mins. really good for women with overactive skin, soreness, roseacea etc - though my skin is yound and plumpcious - I justthink it is nicer to use than a grainy exfoliator - which brings me out in spots as they are too stimulating.

Liquid gold is also really good

mrsmartin · 06/02/2012 18:54

enzyme -not enzyle!! silly fingers.

I agree with using hot cloth as exfoliator , harsh granules will do more damage.
A facial cream with urea in it also naturally exfoliates the skin , try eucerin 5% urea facial cream from boots.

I also use clarins exfoliating toner to clear the dry skin bits.
