Self-gifting for 40th bday. Midlife crisis?

I'm 40 on tuesday... Want to buy myself a present to soften the blow. Am thinking a Mulberry bag... Or similar. Did anyone else feel the need to splash out on themselves? What did you buy? Is this classic mid-life crisis?

I think a mid-life crisis is usually a bit more dramatic than buying yourself a handbag. Try harder

I buy myself presents every birthday as I know what I want! Nothing that pricy though, just new clothes etc. I was 30 last birthday though, maybe it was a 1/3 life crisis.
