Can I buy a Spanx type swimming costume? I'm desperate!

Two years after suffering from polyhydramnios with DD2, my stomach looks like a war zone - stretched skin and my 2 CS overhang too. i am going for my first holiday in 2 years in April and really need a swimming costume that is reasonably plain but has some sort of panel to keep it all in.

Any ideas?

M and s do some tummy control ones - I was lusting after the new ones that are on website and come in a number of colors. They have the control panel and some ruche detail to hide bits.

I like m and s swimwear(and it's usually flattering) as it looks nice but isn't horribly expensive so won't bother you if in pool/sea.

Think it's called miracle swim suit

emsyj · 04/02/2012 17:48

Yes, the miraclesuit - here

Expensive, but supposed to be amazing...

olivo · 04/02/2012 17:53

thank you, I'll have a look. I have to confess, it'l ltake at least a miracle to make me look respectable! I dont mind paying more if it does the job. Can always get a cheaper one for lots of actual swimming.

I have this one and I find it really flattering.

motherofluvlies · 04/02/2012 18:13

I found a site called Simply Swim and I am also trying to pluck up the courage to buy online after 8 luvlies, the last 3 triplets so you think I can find a real miraclesuit?:)

nomoreminibreaks · 04/02/2012 18:18

I bought one from M&S for about £30 and didn't like it at all. Then saw one in primark for about £8 and it's much nicer! Can't go far wrong at that price.

Angel786 · 04/02/2012 18:21

Lepel also do sth similar.

dearprudence · 04/02/2012 18:25

The miraclesuits are very dear, but I bought one about 7 years ago and I've never regretted it. It's still going - hasn't gone thin, or lost it's controlling properties.

mumto2andnomore · 04/02/2012 18:47

I have a black and white spotty control tummy one from sainsburys thats really flattering.

motherinferior · 04/02/2012 18:48

Lands End does good ones.

smugmumofboys · 04/02/2012 18:50

Dare I say - Boden do some nice firm, ruchy type ones that are flattering.

blossoming · 04/02/2012 19:18

Half price miraclesuit here, in limited sizes, and just so happens to be my best colour. Tempted myself. I have a blue one. Really nice, as you would expect for that price.

kellestar · 04/02/2012 19:27

I have one from M&S £16 with a panel in the tummy, which really smooths out my jelly belly. Plain old black but classic.

I also bought one last weekend in Tesco in navy with white piping for £12 which was just as good with a panel, in fact it seemed firmer. A good cover on the bum too, no working up when you swim.

Taffeta · 04/02/2012 19:35

John Lewis have some that look good

This one has great reviews

olivo · 04/02/2012 21:26

oooh, thank you, will have a proper look at these. I don't live in the UK so unfortunately can only do ones where there is a website. I do like that reddish miraclesuit though...
