How to wear my new boots!

I've just bought these on a whim

They were VERY reduced but aside from that, I really like them. I'm a bit of a habitual knee-high wearer though and so am a bit lost as to what I should wear them with.

Help and guidance woud be very much appreciated.

DH helpfully says they look like Star Trek shoes. I'm ignoring him.

I have boots quite like that (but I didn't spend that much, lol).
I am not a fashionista so won't try to suggest what you should do. I wear them with thick socks and jeans or leggings under skirts (I don't get on with knee high boots).

I wear that type of ankle boots with slim or skinny jeans or chinos rolled up slightly.
