Another reason not to wear Mum boots!

They are embarrassingly noisy!
My usual boots are petty Mummsy, but have low rubber wedge heels.
DD1 has given me her out grown and hardly worn short boots. The low block heels may be sensible for a 12 yearold, but the din they make on a clear frosty morning.
Very irritating because they are very comfy.

If they are block heels then they have top pieces - take them to a good cobbler and ask him if he has a softer version that he can replace the top piece with, that will quieten them.

Must admit, I love the sound of heels on a pavement - it makes me feel glam!! Blush

I debated that, but rubber replacement heels, cost money and would probably be thicker. I don't want to mess as they don't make my ankles hurt.

You will have to tip-toe everywhere!

Yes the click of heels when dressed up and want the world to look is fun. Unfortunately i had on grubby cords and ancient fleece and wasn't at all glam.

Just glam up a bit more then ;)

Weren't the quiet Mumsy boots the mum boots though? Confused

I did say a good cobbler (someone with skill - not those god-awful idiots at Timpsons!). A good cobbler will shave the rubbler to the same thickness as the harder top piece, and would replace the top piece all together, rather than just glue the rubber on top. But yes, it would prove costly, depending on how hard you are on your shoes.

I agree with Chandon, whack on the lippy and a good pair of jeans and let the attention give you a daily boost! :o
