I am unsure- had ordered and sent back and now ordered again! I've bought the 8 and the 10. The 8 is a better fit around the hips but TBH there is very little difference in fit- about an inch or so around the bust. The 8 is tighter - obviously- but the 10 is slightly comfier- but then the hips are a bit looser.

I thought it was nice for very hot days and it doesn't crease like linen. I might wear it with a cardi or a denim jacket if cooler.

I am not sure about the high neckline as I prefer a scoop neck, but rarely see any everyday summer dresses that i like.

Frumpy or passable?

I like it

coccyx · 02/02/2012 18:32

lovely if you have great arms

ameliagrey · 02/02/2012 18:34

Hopeless arms but working on them!

I think it is ok,couldn't wear it myself as am a DD cup and thus need a lower neckline!
Am sending for thejersey tea dress as shape will suit me better.

mirpuppet · 02/02/2012 18:44

It is definitely passable -- but probably you could do better if you looked some more.

QuietOhSoQuiet · 02/02/2012 19:03

I have dillied and dallied over this dress, have (due to a bodge up on my part) a huge credit on my account and want to spend wisely.

Basically I want to be a more grown up grown up,instead of a jeans and Tee the whole time grown up so I am thinking a well cut dress and some more carefree cardis Confused

Any idea fron the style gurus (but only on boden wither full price or clearance) greatly appreciated.5 ft 6 1/2,size 12 top,10 bottom very apple shaped, deep winter colour so need bright jewel colours.Dark brown hair.

sorry amelia if I am hijacking Blush

ameliagrey · 02/02/2012 19:06

Well, if I can do better, i can keep this for 3 months then return.

I'd like to see what they have in the summer catalogue- why can't they just bring it all out at once? Angry

OP posts:
QuietOhSoQuiet · 02/02/2012 19:10

when are they likely to bring the summer garb out,any ideas ? :o

ameliagrey · 02/02/2012 19:13

I like the jersey tea dress Georgina but not sure if there is a colour to suit me- it would have to be the blue circles one.

I don't know when they launch the summer clothes- maybe March? Might call them.

If you're not 100% sure then send it back. Otherwise it'll just sit in your wardrobe. Wait till you find something you really love to part with your cash Smile

HarriedWithChildren · 02/02/2012 19:31

It's pretty but I'm too busty and bingo wingy for it. I agree, if you don't love it, don't keep it.

MrsBovary · 02/02/2012 19:43

It's quite nice.

HellonHeels · 02/02/2012 20:41

I'm not keen on it. Gives the model a saggy monoboob.

ameliagrey · 02/02/2012 20:43

lol! my boobs look massive in it but the neckline is quite high.

OP posts:
suebfg · 02/02/2012 20:46

I think it's a tad mumsy tbh - I think you can do better for that price

Dotty342kids · 02/02/2012 20:47

I think it's really nice actually!

ameliagrey · 02/02/2012 22:52

it's going back. Again Smile

It's quite nice but not for the price and the high neck feels frumpy and gives me a boob shelf which is a joke as mine are 32C/D.

OP posts:
higamoushogamous · 03/02/2012 10:51

It is very expensive for what it is, a T shirt dress with a few gathers at wasit and neck. I bet it will look like a sad dishcloth after a few washes.

Chubfuddler · 03/02/2012 10:53

There are nicer things in the spring catogue than that. What about the belted sleeveless knitted tunic thingy? I want that.
