What accessories would you wear with this?

this is much nicer than it looks and on my short pear shape is like an A-Line dress coming to about 2in above the knee. I plan to wear with black opaques and long black wedge boots, or maybe grey knitted tights and brown biker boots but not sure what to do with the top half- a scarf maybe? if so what colour. A cardigan?? long sleeved top under it?
Can anyone suggest any good ways to accessorise this, please don't be put off by its appearance it actually is very flattering!

I don't think I'd wear black tights and boots with it. I think navy opaques and tan or brown boots would be better.

On top I think I would layer something underneath like a cream long sleeve t-shirt leaving a couple of buttons open and with sleeves rolled up slightly to show the layers. For a scarf would be nice to add some colour maybe something like this

I have a similar shape dress which I wear with a thin, close-fitting poloneck underneath, plus leggings and flat boots. With 3/4 length sleeves you can wear a nice bracelet as well.
