My feet are falling to bits. I am developing a corn. I need new shoes for work.
Please help!

Requirements - comfort, style, happy with a bit quirky and a bit of height. Short and on the rotund side (size 14). I run and cycle so legs are 'athletic' Always wear knee length dresses to work - fitted usually think Hobbs Workwear (dull). Some airport and train station traipsing too.

Budget whatever. A wedge would be good? Armed with Visa card and NEED to buy something.

I am really fussy about comfort - even "a bit of height" in the heel can interfere with that as it makes your foot slide forwards and downwards and puts more pressure on your toes. My choices might be a bit on the Cornish pasty side but I have marvellous feet!

My favourite brands:

Remonte Dorndorf [check the upper is leather, though, as I don't think all of them are] have a look although I have to say not all the styles are my cup of tea. I've got Shirin and it's bloody comfortable! Padded inner. My feet just sigh when I put them on.

Or (substantial) ballet flats. try Land's End

I also have a couple of pairs of Gabor and love them too.

I had a more trendy Hush Puppies pair - black wedge mary-janes with cut-out design, yum - very comfy but the leather was not good quality and showed a lot of wear and tear very quickly.

Also I quite like Irregular Choice for quirkiness but haven't actually worn the ones I bought last year as paradoxically they are "too good" ..!

M&S do a pair of black suede court shoes with a patent trim and patent bow for £25 which are the comfiest things ever. So comfy my stylish but veeery pregnant work colleague as also bought a pair

Can't do links on phone though, sorry

Thanks.

Cruella those are grown-up shoes - sorry. I just couldn't :-). Not quite ready to give up all pretence at stylish. (vain, very).

Footgloves fall into similar category in my silly wee head. Also straps make chubby legs worse.

Landsend not so bad but flat. I need some height. Do have some irregular choice but don't wear so well and some take it too far for work.

Off to check out Monsoon wedges.

Go on - you can say "frumpy", I don't mind! Grin

My feet thank me for it every day.

Second Hush Puppies.

I have 50s style black patent leather heels from them, NOT dowdy. Wear lots of ballet flats, wedges, and 1" heels from them. Def work with Hobbs stuff.

Not frumpy but comfy Cruella :-)

Need a bit of height Revolting to assist with short stumpy leg syndrome.

Have ordered a reediculous number of shoes from John Lewis, one (or maybe two Smile pairs) must do the job.
