Am wearing my new French Connection silk shirt,L K Bennett long line mushroom cardi with skinny tan belt over slim fit jeans and conker brown platform boots.feeling pretty chic for a 45 yr old mum of 2. Dd (age 11) just home from school " what's going on with that top?"!!! BLOODY HELL I am the fashionista in this house !

But do you want to be wearing something that an 11 year old would like?! Sometimes my dd(14) tells me that something I am wearing is 'gross' so I tell her that I would look pretty stupid in see through leggings and a Hollister hoody. She agrees!

drooling slightly at drywhiteplease's outfit...sounds fab and agree with dexter about 11 yo. Am lucky as my DTD's age 3 think everything mummy wears is gorgeous...will enjoy that while it lasts then Smile

Bloody hell, your outfit sounds gorgeous. Your dd has no taste, clearly.

Wow thanks for outfit compliments.told dd she was rude.generally she shows no interest in clothing apart from jeans and think it was because I never wear shirts.kind of amusing and certainly would never listen to a minor's fashion comments.am pretty secure about my clothes.kids!!

Outfit sounds fab

I definitely think it sounds fab!

If my DDs are anything to go by, they all follow the same pattern:

Primary school - wild horses could drag them head first through Mulberry and they wouldn't even notice that it sold handbags.

Secondary school - they think they're bloody Alexa Chung.

Well I have that to look forward to then!
Tbh she is actually uninterested in fashion (yet!) and, considering how much I love it,I am quite glad that she doesn't want to spend Saturday shopping ( in Jack Wills !).
