Are you looking for a traditional gown JARM?

MrsBadger · 21/01/2006 11:42

Might be tricky to find the full-length silk gown type outfit at this price - would a regular dress do?
Try bottom right dress here - £30 with shoes but no hat (NB is hat practical for christening? Will it not get soggy?). Also have a look in the BHS bridal leaflet - they have some similar dresses and shoes designed for tiny flowergirls.

Personally I prefer the less silky things - more like this , or the cotton dresses from Vertbaudet - you might even get use out of it afterwards as a party dress (if not outgrown immediately).

If it's the traditional gown you're after, try here

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and it's on the left. Gillian Joy. It was £79.99 and now £31.19 and includes gown, bonnet, slippers and bib.

you could try monsoon - they still have the last of their sale stuff. I got two dresses for the dds' christening last week - pink crinkle embroidered ones but they did have more traditional white/cream ones as well. the 2 dresses together would have been £75 originally - got them both for £32.

That's a great find, G76!
