What would you wear for a meal at a pub?

I have two wardrobe styles - slobby or evening dress. I'm going out to a pub for an evening meal with friends and don't know what to wear. Will someone point me in the direction of smart but not ott clothes please?

budget? You can't go wrong with great fitting dark jeans and a luxe jumper - mango and zara are great for chic key pieces that will slot ito your work and weekend wardrobe effortlessly.

I'd wear smart jeans with a nice shirt/blouse/top and heels.

What about this worn with black leggings and knee high black boots?

My go to outfit for something like this would be dark highwasted jeans, tan wedge ankle boots and a blouse or top with a cropped blazer. I dont think you can go wrong with the smart jeans, nice top with heels/wedges route. Add accesories; chunky bracelet, earrings, a scarf and you are good to go.

Alternatively i would go with leggings low-heeled over knee boots and a jumper dress with statement jewellery.
