Best jeans for curvy/hourglass shape?

I haven't bought a new pair of jeans for several years and don't know where to start!
I'm 5'2 around a size 14, most weight sits on my tummy area, but i would be described as hourglass rather than apple. I want to avoid muffin top so nothing too low waisted. I tend to wear tops that come down to about crotch level so looking for something flattering but does not need to look perfect around the top.

Any suggestions of labels/shops to try would be appreciated!

I like Gap curvy jeans.

Levi Curve range is amazing - I have waist a couple of sizes smaller than bum - very hourglass and these are only ones that fit me!

Curvy jeans do fit, but I find the mid rise a little low for me. I am wearing mine at the moment and wish they were a little more high waisted, especially when I get in the car and the gap at the back hits the cold plastic strip on my car seat.

I got some fab ones in Dorothy Perkins of all places!

George at Asda. I'm tall and curvy size 14, went and got measured in Levi's and their jeans looked dreadful on me. I've just invested in a fairly high dark bootleg jean for £15 and I'm flouncing around like a supermodel when I'm in them!

Try Uniqlo - bizarrely good for the price

Spuddybean · 29/01/2012 18:19

i wear 7 for all mankind and not your daughters jeans, both in high waisted boot cut. I am curvy (big thighs/bum, small waisted) and tall tho, but you may be able to take them up.

LolaLadybird · 29/01/2012 18:20

New Look pink label bootcut jeans. I am curvy with my bottom and thighs needing a bigger size than my waist but these fit really well. They have a bit of stretch and give in them too. They are quite thin and won't last you forever if you wear them a lot but at £15 I can cope with that.

dexter73 · 29/01/2012 19:53

Sonotkylie - totally agree! I love Uniqlo jeans with a passion. They make me look slim and tall!

greyvix · 29/01/2012 19:58

I second Levis. They come in several different curve shapes and various styles. I have just bought a pair, having been looking for months, and love them!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions - plently to try when I go shopping.
