Yep I look unwell and very tired, other than a couple of oils and moisturisers etc. I'm a bit lacking on a 'treatment' I can do tonight at home, whilst drinking a bit of wine in bath...

My eyes look really awful , please someone advise me ( am trying to drink lots of water honest!)

Can't do it in the bath, but afterwards you could slap on some fake tan.

I find it really perks up my appearance

Bitofalurkerreally · 28/01/2012 18:13

Thanks Olympic Eater unfortunately I'm one of those pale and interesting types......don't own fake tan anymore (hilarious incident for my best friend's wedding - scrubbing brush used!). Mind if I has some I'd be tempted I look really bad..........OMG my eyes I look so old and ill!

I would do face mask then fake tan, but if not fake tan, give yourself a warm oil facial massage and get an early night.

Drink lots of water and lay off caffeine tonight. I would sack off the wine, too (sorry!)

I find a bit of a scrub with a flannel gets the circulation going in my face and gets rid of the dead skin cells that make me look grey. Slap on your usual moisturiser afterwards and you'll be peachy.

cyb · 28/01/2012 18:29

Exfoliate really well tonight

moisturise your eyes with eye cream

cold teabags always perk up eyes . oldy but goody!

Bitofalurkerreally · 28/01/2012 19:03

Thank you all for your advice!

Have reviewed my available products

  • Have cucumber and teabags + usual Estee Lauder eye cream that seems to have stopped being effective!
  • Oil: Neal's Yard Rose oil, rosehip oil (not keen), bio-oil and olive oil!
  • Have an old Sanctuary facial scrub
  • Clarins Beauty Flash Balm?

-Elemis Frangipani Moisture Melt and one of their scrubs - I guess these may be body only? I think I had the Frangipani once in a facial ( many years ago before having the two darlings that aged me overnight)

  • Usual Estee Lauder anti ageing face cream

So I do have some stuff, no face pack though....

What's the best way to do a mini-facial with this little lot then?

I won't drink much wine promise and I will try for an early night as long as my DH understands it's for beauty sleep only! although I could try for the happy endorphins look .............

Mix olive oil with salt and scrub all over then lie in the bath for 10 mins. Put a light fake tan mixed with moisturiser all over very subtle but just works! Camomile tea early night. I am doing this tonight after I watch casualty. Dp will inevitably get teh wrong idea

CroissantNeuf · 28/01/2012 19:07

I find a gentle facial scrub can brighten my skin up a bit.

Give your hair a bit of a shine -conditioner? cold water rinse?

Bitofalurkerreally · 28/01/2012 20:55

Thank you all, bath running and tea bags ready!

Oh have some hanky panky, nothing like it for a glowy bright eyed look

MordechaiVanunu · 28/01/2012 22:14

Aspirin face mask!!!

Am I too late??

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/01/2012 23:43

You can use the Clarins BFB as a mask.

And you need an exfoliator by the sound of it.

Must remember to do the teabag thing tomorrow!

MaMattoo · 28/01/2012 23:53

Home recipe face pack - honey and orange peel (grated). Or just honey. Apply liberally, leave for 15 mins.
I also used to use double cream in the winter as a moisturiser at night, rwlly rub it in and then wipe off with a hot damp towel. Yuck! But works phenomenally well.

Touché éclat for eyes though Smile
