Due to work and other things i've left it and left it til it really needs doing. I've been making use of the cold weather and wearing a hat to hide them but have a mid-week wedding to attend. My other hairdresser has let me down and I haven't got the time to get it done before. I am scared of using permanent's and haven't dyed my hair in years. Do you think I could use a semi?

what hair colour are you ?

Can you still get those wash in wash out ones? Shaders & Toners I think they were called? Might get you through an emergency.

Or a big fascinator hat

I cover my grays all the time between appointments, you can buy root touch up kits (they are permanent though). I just use normal semi permanent - I mix it up in a plastic bowl and apply with a makeup brush to the roots. Works a treat. I have VERY thick hair and use abour half a pack per time. Nice and easy is good and I think shades are v natural. Cooler shades are better for covering gray

Those colour hair lipsticks are quite good for emergencies

A box of Harmony wash in/was out lasts all week. Makes my greys look like expensive caramel highlights.

I have a coloured hair mousse that i put on the parting. It will wash out again. I also used to have a thing by Schartz or whatever it is called which was like a pen which coloured in the gray.

Embrace the grey [strokes own grey hair]

If you have dark hair and are desperate you can use mascara or brown liquid eyeliner!

I use eyeshadow to cover mine in times of emergency!. Just use a colour close to your hair colour and rub in with your fingers - it works I promise!.
