My mum is a bit of a conundrum in the style stakes.
She plans to project "effortlessly timeless, elegant and classy" but then wears my dad's old gardening trousers with flipflops and drop diamond earrings.
She is Of A Certain Age, but seems younger.
Size 16 / 18 and apple shaped.
Quite tall.
Has appalling body image.
Really quite beautiful if she could stop hating herself and wearing mens clothes.
She has a palpable horror of anything she perceives to be frumpy or 'aunty'. And won't wear fake fabrics. She doesn't like anything girly or fussy.
I want to buy her a shirt (or blouse, but don't let her hear us calling it that). I'd love to get silk but not sure if budget will stretch, so perhaps linen or cotton.
Something utterly beautiful and classic, but with an edge.
NO pussy bows.
NO puff sleeves.
Anyone fancy taking the challenge? I'd be ever so grateful for any help.
